Prohibited or restricted items:

(1) Goods prohibited from or restricted for circulation, delivery, or export under Chinese laws and regulations; (2) items and dangerous goods that do not meet the IATA's requirements; (3) goods prohibited from or restricted for entry by the destination country or region. Such prohibited/restricted goods include but are not limited to the following:

·Live animals and plants, and endangered and precious animals and plants (including their specimens) as well as their seeds and propagation materials;

·Mineral products: crude ore, ore-sand, slag, and calx;

·Narcotics and psychotropic drugs: opium, morphine, cocaine, etc., and foods, drugs, or other items that are harmful to human and animal health, from epidemic areas, and can spread diseases;

·Tobacco and tobacco substitutes;

·Chemicals: all explosive, flammable, corrosive, toxic, and radioactive goods, rare earth metals, pyrotechnic products, pyrophoric alloys, detonators, explosives, gasoline, alcohol, kerosene, matches, raw lacquer, strong acid, strong alkali, etc.;

·Dangerous goods specified by China's Maritime Safety Administration: lighters, correction fluid, table tennis balls, air fresheners, fire extinguishers, rosin, etc.;

·Remains (including cremains), furs, animal bones, animal organs, limbs, skeletons, etc.;

·Deadly poisons, narcotics, and psychotropic substances, such as arsenic, opium, morphine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.

·Goods that are prohibited from circulating or delivery under national laws and regulations, such as cultural relics, arms, ammunition, and simulated weapons.

·Newspapers, periodicals, books, pictures, promotional materials, audio-visual products, laser video discs (VCD, DVD, and LD), computer disks and CDs containing reactionary, obscene, or immoral content.

·Goods that prejudice public health, such as remains (including cremated remains), untanned furs, and unmedicated animal bones.

·Animals, plants, and their specimens.

·White powder whose ingredients are hardly recognizable

2. Prohibited goods for air freight

(1) Goods that threaten the in-flight safety: refer to goods or substances that may obviously endanger human health or safety or cause damage to property during air transportation. They mainly include:

·Explosives: fireworks, firecrackers, and detonating fuse, etc.;

·Gas: compressed gas, dry ice, fire extinguishers, gas cylinders (which have no discharge device and cannot be re-inflated), lifeguards (self-inflating), etc.;

·Flammable liquids: oil-based lacquer, gasoline, alcohol, engine oil, camphor oil, engine starting fluid, turpentine oil, banana oil, glue, perfume, etc.;

·Flammable solids: spontaneously combustible materials and solid materials which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases, such as activated carbon, titanium powder, copra, castor products, rubber debris, safety matches (box-rubbed or piece-rubbed), dry white phosphorus, dry yellow phosphorus, magnesium powder, etc.;

·Oxidants and organic peroxides: such as potassium permanganate;

·Toxic and infectious goods: such as pesticides, lithium batteries, and tear gas;

·Radioactive substances.;

·Corrosive products: such as batteries and alkaline battery liquids;
